How to Renew the Claude Certified Architect Certification

The Claude Certified Architect – Foundations credential is valid for 12 months from the day it's awarded. To renew on time, you review what has changed and complete a free, unproctored assessment on the Anthropic Partner Academy. If it lapses, you retake the full exam at the full fee.

Why it expires

Claude, the Agent SDK, Claude Code and MCP change quickly. A 12-month credential means holders keep their knowledge current instead of certifying once and drifting.

How on-time renewal works

  • Before your 12 months are up, review what has changed since you certified.
  • Complete the renewal assessment on the Anthropic Partner Academy. It isn't proctored, and there's no fee.

If your credential lapses

You sit the full exam again at the full fee (cost and retakes). And if the exam content changes significantly, Anthropic may ask holders to take the full exam rather than the renewal assessment.

Staying ready between renewals

Keep building with the four technologies, and revisit the 30 exam tasks when something changes. The full exam guide lists what's in and out of scope.
